To Belgium we go, where at first glance you would have thought that this linesman was hit by a bottle, or maybe even a brick.
As it turns out, the object that brutally ko’ed this lino was a piece cardboard but, apparently, the lino felt it for real, stating;
“My head was struck by an object. and I thought it was a block of ice. I was dizzy and thought I would faint… I heard later that it was a piece of cardboard.. It’s no laughing matter. I am father of two children and my daughter sent a text message because she was worried.”
All this abuse is the reason the football authorities are having difficulties recruiting match officials!
